Privacy Policy

Remaining Time ("the Service") is a personal dashboard that shows how much of your day, year, and life remains, with a Pomodoro timer and a daily task list. This page explains what information the Service collects and how it is used.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, and — if you register with a password — your password, which is stored only as a securely hashed value (bcrypt). The plain password is never stored.
• Google account information (only if you choose "Sign in with Google"). Your Google account identifier, email address, and display name, received from Google to create and identify your account.
• Your app data. The settings you enter (Pomodoro duration, age, target lifespan) and the tasks you create (task name, optional deadline time, and date).
• Session cookie. A single cookie that keeps you signed in. It is technically necessary and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to operate the Service: to authenticate you and to store and display your own settings and tasks. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Service.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties, except:

• Google — only if you use Google sign-in, and only to authenticate you. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Where required by law.

Storage and security

Your data is stored in a database on the server that hosts the Service. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, connections are served over HTTPS, and session cookies are HTTP-only. No security measure is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Data retention and deletion

Tasks from previous days are automatically removed. Your account, settings, and current tasks are kept until you ask for them to be deleted. To delete your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.

Children

The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required by their local law to consent to online services.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
